How do you enjoy chocolate?

To savor chocolate the right way, sit back comfortably and take one square in your hand.

First, take a moment to appreciate the appearance of your chocolate.

Next, cut your square in half and take a long sniff to appreciate all its aromas. Try to identify all the aromas you detect.

Place half a square on each side of your cheek (between your cheek and your gum) and let it melt for as long as possible. This will help you tell the difference between good-quality and poor-quality chocolate. Try to determine whether your chocolate melts more or less quickly. What flavors do you detect? What is its texture?

The goal is to let your mouth water for as long as possible to better absorb tryptophan. You’ll experience the greatest sense of pleasure and reap the benefits of the precursors to serotonin and melatonin. You’ll also produce enzymes to aid digestion.

Once you've finished your square, you'll feel full and completely satisfied. You won't be tempted to snack.
