Thank-You Letter
We extend our sincere thanks to all the female and male politicians who have supported the implementation of theSustainable Taste and Prevention Guidelines.
Your willingness to listen, your trust, and your commitment reflect a shared desire to act in the best interests of present and future generations, through an approach based on foresight, responsibility, and the common good.
This project arose from a simple yet fundamental observation: many challenges related to health, well-being, addictive behaviors, or risky behaviors could be better prevented if support for children and youth were provided earlier, with clear, consistent, and lasting guidelines.
In a world marked by an information overload, marketing influences, social media, and sometimes conflicting sources of information, it is essential to help young people understand, discern, and make informed choices.
TheGuidelines for Sustainable Eating and Preventionoffer a comprehensive, cross-disciplinary approach that connects food, health, well-being, physical activity, emotions, citizenship, critical thinking, and responsibility. Inspired in particular by Edgar Morin’s complex thought, this approach aims not only to impart knowledge but also to help young people learn how to live, better understand themselves, and understand others in a world that has become more complex.
Because education and prevention are everyone’s responsibility, this project brings together not only children and young people, but also those who support them on a daily basis: teachers, educators, parents, health care professionals, local governments, training centers, prevention specialists, artisans, farmers, and the food industry.
Your support gives this goal even more momentum. It helps embed this approach in a collective effort where prevention becomes a priority, so we can avoid having to fix things later.
By supporting this initiative, you are helping to build a more enlightened, more responsible society that is more attentive to the health, well-being, and civic engagement of younger generations.
Thank you for your trust and your commitment to sustainable prevention and a brighter future for all. The French people will remember this.
Jean-Claude Berton
